nailed it!

After spending twenty plus years in the retail world working for two rather large companies, one absorbed by the other, the demands proved to be futile. Afterwards I tried a few other jobs, with crafting as my peace in my time off. Eventually I was crafting more than I worked. I was able to spend more time with my family while restoring my peace. My wonderful critics, my sisters and my daughter would say encouragingly “NAILED IT!” or maybe it was sarcasm, not quite sure; but it was the fuel that powered my inspiration.

This newfound passion soon blossomed into a small business idea. I started sharing my creations online and at local craft fairs, discovering a supportive community of fellow makers. The joy of seeing others appreciate my work made every late night and early morning worth it.

With each new project, I found myself experimenting with different materials and techniques, pushing the boundaries of what I thought I could create. The joy of transforming simple supplies into something beautiful reignited a passion I hadn’t felt in years. Through trial and error, I discovered not only new skills, but also a renewed confidence in my creativity.

My critics (sisters and daughter) quickly reduced it to “Park & Crown

This journey also allowed me to connect more deeply with my family, as we often brainstormed ideas together and celebrated each finished piece. Their unwavering support and honest feedback became a cornerstone of my creative process, motivating me to continually improve and innovate. Looking back, I realize that what began as a simple hobby evolved into a fulfilling and meaningful chapter of my life.
